Representing seven plaintiffs in a federal racial discrimination case, the attorneys at Lohf Shaiman Jacobs PC have secured a major verdict against a trucking company. The case alleged a pattern of adverse and discriminatory behavior directed at African-American employees – including segregating these employees, assigning them to unfavorable shifts and subjecting them to racial epithets. The discrimination lawyers at Lohf Shaiman Jacobs PC and the EEOC obtained a $19 million settlement in a sex discrimination case against Outback Steakhouse. The case alleged that Outback Steakhouse overlooked qualified female employees for promotions. These awards, which include $650,000 for one plaintiff and $257,750 for another, are part of a greater $19 million settlement that Outback has agreed to pay to about 20,000 former and current employees to settle a federal gender discrimination case. Mr. Thompson has more than 25 years of experience practicing commercial litigation, employment law, business, real estate transactions, technology, e-commerce and intellectual property. His professional memberships include the Colorado, Adams & Broomfield Bar Associations.

Since 1973, Mr. Jacobs has been engaged in the general practice of law, focusing on commercial litigation, real estate, estate planning, tax planning, and mergers and acquisitions. He recently added mediation to his practice areas. He represents companies, investors, estates, & individuals.

Mr. Ebner focuses on oil & gas transactional work & some mining work. He has been honored by Super Lawyers (oil and gas law) from 2007-2016. His professional memberships include the Assn. of International Petroleum Negotiators & the Denver Assn. of Oil & Gas Title Lawyers.
